Biography

Alan has worked in the film and tv industry for 13 years as a screenwriter, editor and producer.

Starting in Western Australia with Animal Allies and Desperately Seeking Sheila, Alan moved to the UK in 2004 to work for September Films.

He remained in the UK to work on a variety of series which screened on the BBC, ITV, Ch4 and Ch5.

Alan returned to Australia in 2007 to lecture the FCP and Avid courses at the Film and Television Institute (FTI) in Fremantle, WA.

In 2008, Alan spent eight months in Alice Springs post supervising and editing two of NITV’s flagship series, Yeyekerte and Grounded, for CAAMA. The following year was a busy one, starting with the Seven Network series Triple Zero Heroes, then Channel Nine's award winning children’s drama Lockie Leonard.

Alan then relocated to Broome to work on the Channel Seven children’s drama series Castaway, produced by Northway TV.

In late 2009, Alan returned to the UK and worked as a journalist for CNN International before returning to Australia in 2012.

He supervised on the Talking Language... series (SBS), and worked as the pre-visualisation editor for the Hollywood blockbuster San Andreas, starring Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson.

Alan has written original pilots for a variety of genres, including sitcoms, children's adventure/drama, mini-series and melodrama.

Alan works between Sydney and L.A.
